The Journey
From adaptive workouts to a free Hunt — and where Liftz is headed next.
The idea
Tried out other fitness apps and kept hitting the same wall: the same routine, week after week, no matter how ready your body actually felt. That gap became the idea for Liftz.
First prototype
Built the first version — readiness algorithm, quick workout generation, and Live Activity support. Rough around the edges, but it worked.
First TestFlight build
Handed it to friends to actually use, gym sessions and all. Their feedback shaped what shipped.
Launched on the App Store
Liftz went live on iOS.
Hunt League, Hevy import, and referrals
GPS walking quests, monthly league rewards, Hevy history import, share cards, and invite tracking shipped. Hunt League opened August 1 as our first competitive season.
Android closed testing
Liftz landed on Android, now in closed testing on Google Play with adaptive workouts, readiness scoring, Hevy import, and subscriptions via Google Play Billing.
Hunt goes personal — and free
Rebuilt Hunt around personal progress instead of competition: GPS tracking, Bonus Base, and your Profile are now free for everyone. Also shipped Muscle Split breakdowns on every workout, so you see exactly what you trained.
Public Android launch
Graduating from closed testing to a full Google Play release, bringing Hunt and everything else to Android users everywhere.
